Yeppers, I searched, and printed, and wrote down age codes on all the tires I could find 'em on. Left with a low tread spare & the BFG's on the front which had no DOT code below the manuf. name like the others did. Did have the following:

E4 in a circle, and numbers 007341
E2 in a circle, and numbers 008514

Anybody got ideas?

no triangles, no sidewall cracking, tires were prolly on the rig when I bought it 8 years ago.

Still one more set of cruiser tires to check, and I know the moto & honda tires are good, cuz I just bought 'em last year.

found while searching:

which included Car Bibles : The Wheel and Tire Bible Page 1 of 2

Props to Randy88FJ62 for making me think about it.

And to NLXTACY for the truth of what happened. :D

Haha, yeah right :flipoff2: Your story was better but no one knows which is the "truth."

Sorry but I have no idea how to tell what the age of a tire is. If it has no dry rot and good tread then I'd run it.

Some more information would help you nail these down. The older tires only have the DOT code one the non-white letter side, and the older tires have different shoulder lugs. What do the tires say on the sidewall? Radial All-Terrain or just All-Terrain, or All-Terrain KO? This will help narrow down the era. But if you can't find an 0xxx number separated from the rest of the DOT code, chances are HIGH that the tires are at least 9 years old now.

Hope ya didn't strain your arm whilst pattin yerself on the back. :flipoff2:

Exactly the info I needed. RF is BE66UA1110003, LF is EDC6UA110504, rears are '06.

Looks like I should move RF to spare & [make NLXTACY] spring for a new tire.

those tire are the worst tire i've ever owned. 3 outta 4 spat out the belts through the side before 50%. talk about pre-mature ejaculation.
