Started installing my 12 Volt Solutions remote start on my 2008 and came across this under the drivers side dash and in the kick panel. Does anyone know what this is for?

Looks like the stupid fleet alarm and key system dealers install
And try to charge people for as an anti theft device.
Most of us rip it out.
But it does tap into the ignition wiring so be careful undoing that part.
