Installed a Kenwood KDC‑BT755HD into the cruiser this afternoon and ran into an issue. The radio wont power on unless I hook up the orange/white illumination wire to the yellow memory wires. When I do this the dash and parking lights come on. If I disconnect the orange/white from the yellow the lights turn off but the stereo wont turn on. What am I missing here?

Are you using a harness to connect to the stock connector? There should be no guess work if you are.

Correct, plugged into the stock factory harness.

So I went to the EWD last night to get the pin layout and started testing. I found that the pin for IGN was not hot with the key on. After tracing it back I found a short in the fuse block at the 15amp CIG fuse. Replaced the fuse and everything is good to go.
