I have been on the fence recently about an aftermarket filter set up. The one thats caught my eye is the Afe pro-dry cold air intake but there is a problem. None of the major manufacturers designed set-ups for the 200 series land cruisers except TRD which i do not want. I have looked at the equivalent Tundra aftermarket and can see the similarity in design which begs the question......Will the tundra upgrades FIT?

Some might be close, but it really it depends on the height of the system. What are you trying to accomplish?

Trying to get a growl out of the 4.6 as well as some better breathing for the engine. I hope to run a seat of headers to help this as well. Did you mean height as in physical height of the filter box itself?

Yes, the height of the filter box will be the issue. The stock air filter and box are huge on these trucks, there is little flow to be gained by replacing. The tube between the box and t-body may offer a little gain, and some growl.

Bringing this back up from the dead as I just tried to search for CAI in 200 forum with nothing. I own a 2011 Tundra with a TRD CAI and from looking at the fitment, it wouldnt match the size specs to fit a 2016. However I did notice that the 2014-2019 TRD CAI looks like it may be a direct match fit with my 2016 200 series. Has anyone confirmed that it will? Or AFE is the only one that makes these.
