Thanks Loud. I'm very tempted to do the slee sliders. Guess my only concern is that when my boss/prev owner high centered it, he bent the area where the running boards connect to the truck, and not just the running boards/brackets themselves. Any experience out there?

Atta boy! You're hooked on wheeling now!

Actually it's a safety issue, the sliders will protect your wife an kiddies in a side impact collision better than the OEM running boards.

Play the safety car early and play it often:grinpimp:

The stiffer suspension you get from an OME lift will help with cornering stability when you have the kids and camping gear loaded up for a trip. The sidewalls on Toyo MTRs will resist a side wall puncture that could leave you and your family stranded.
Are you taking notes? This is the good stuff here.

All kidding aside I'll give you a set of running boards if you pay for the ride. This assumes that the boards from a 98 UZJ100 will fit your rig.

No need for jack stands to do the swap.

you mean, it would have protected my body from the VW golf that hit my truck and BENT MY REAR AXLE?

Goodness Loud! You getting that fixed?

i love how wherever i go i can jack threads. Yes it got fixed, the whole rear end was replaced with a used one from another truck. Not what i wanted but insurance was being a pain since the lady that ran the stop sign and hit me was under the same insurance company. You cant tell except for the plastic body panels that got replaced, the paint on them is a little "fresher" since they come painted from the factory no blending was done.

I'm sure you're much buffer than I am, but no jack stands? Dag. How did you hold the sliders in place while you installed?

I bet you do cyock push-ups too... :hmm:

Did you properly chock the tires that are still on the ground (based on the pic I'd say no).

Sorry, safety Nazi... :grinpimp:

x2, I used this one too, but got one of Christo's first gen slider/step sets (in fact, I think it was the last set made). Has a real step that bolts to the slider, and is removeable for wheeling, or for when the kids get bigger, I can just unbolt, disgard, and weld on some real outriggers...

And to go along with that, much better handling in emergency maneuvers... :grinpimp:
