This may have been posted by somebody, but I discovered this today and it was one of those huge light bulb going off moments. Buy some stainless 1/4” snap hooks/ carabiners.

Insert the small end into the unused third row latch, push hard, you may have to grab the other end with vise grips, it takes a lot of force. Push and CLICK! Repeat for the other side. This makes a super stout anchor point, and you can run a standard bungee cord through it easily. To remove them, just operated the seat release latches.
Here is a cool roof access ladder I just received, it fits close against the right side with cardboard to protect the plastic:
The ladder is only 1.75” wide when closed, it fits there perfectly, and at 30” high the top step is perfect for accessing my roof rack and cargo box.
