Ben, Nice, clean OEM-like set-up.

As an update for this project, I took a 9 day trip recently with my dad and had my Engel fridge plugged into one of the new outlets the whole time set at the "Ref" setting. This setting was cold enough that a Nalgene bottle filled with ice cubes and then water added to fill in the leftover empty space kept the ice cubes as such for around 3 days before the ice finally melted. The first and last days were long driving days (~8.5 hours getting to / from our trip destination). The rest of the days we drove at least a few hours each day. There was never any hint of the battery being run down and the fridge kept the contents nice and cold the whole time. We were in Virginia / West Virginia for the trip during the recent extra hot weather for the trip, so this was definitely a good test of how well the fridge and stock single battery get along.

Without a 2nd battery, I don't think I'd risk running the fridge 24/7 for multiple days if I was going into a remote area especially without any sort of backup to give me a jump start, but based on this trip, I have no concerns about doing something similar again.

VERY happy with the LX at this point. There were lots of steep grades and twisty roads where we were (Harpers Ferry, Shenandoah National Forest, Cass, Greenbank Observatory, etc.) and the LX never complained going up or down. Once it was warmed up, the temperature gauge stayed rock solid no matter what kind of road we threw at it. My dad was very impressed too - I think he now know gets why the LC / LX really is something special. He kept saying how the Land Rover Discovery that I owned previously would have had all sorts of problems handling going up the steep grades and wouldn't have been nearly as comfortable to ride in.

I have been looking for a couple of mountable high amp DC sockets. I figured it would be easy to find them at a marine store, but so far I've come up empty.

I plan on mounting one in the back, and one more in the front. I'll then rig up my other high current DC accessories to use the plug.

I was looking for somethign in the 100 amp range so that I could hook up a good sized inverter.

Does anyone have a suggestion? I could go with the Anderson Power Poles, but really wanted something that was more of a mountable fixture.
