ABS Unit

Hi all

I’m based in the UK and using my 100 series for towing 3.5 tonne trailer fully loaded

Notice my abs unit is buzzing for 3-4 seconds every few minutes and wanting to avoid losing my brakes whilst towing and have worst case scenario

I’ve looked online but not very clear what is the simplest solution

Is it just the motor that needs replacing or is it the ensure system please?

Ideally want a simple solution don’t want to replace stuff unless I have to

Found an £89 abs motor and hoping I can simply replace this?

I have spent some time online looking but it seems there’s a lot of debating and hard to dig out the bottom line simple fact of what needs doing

I know some will probably say be safe and replace everything but if possible I’d like to keep it minimal at least for now as I am very tight for time and money in between jobs towing and have exhausted myself recently doing other jobs on the car

you can just replace the Accumulator motor. Depending on the mileage, you may just choose to replace the whole Hydro-boost assembly.

Can anyone help me locate a rebuilt ABS? People have referred to Andy Lee but I would need a more specific link to access him. Also rather than just pulling and replacing, does anyone have a link to more specific diagnostic videos or manuals in english?? Youtubers seem to just replace so far, and some motor work which is a maybe if thats what it is. Codes are c1223,1251,1252,1256,1340. failure was classic, lit up dashboard followed by brake failure total in 2 miles. 2006 lx 196K. Thanks!!
