Thanks again for taking the time to help. Maybe it’s different on different models, but on this 96 LX450 there are no connectors at the front ABS sensors. It’s one wire loom with no connection except for on one end. Both front sensors are built into that sealed harness.

Sorry to resurrect this thread, but this looks like a harness I somehow broke yesterday. Does anyone happen to have a part number or "official" name for this, so I know what to ask/search for?

ABS light stayed on after being in 4 low, and didn't have to look far to find this:

I just ended up splicing in another wire and solder/shrinkwrap them at the sensor. And lots of zip ties. Not perfect but working so far.

Yeah its broken at the hard line part of the harness, I'd have to cut some of the metal away to even get at the broken wires. If it' super expensive I might just give it a try though.

Man, something must have hit it just right...

The front speed sensor kit, part number 04895-60012, is what you're looking for. That part has long been removed from the inventories. Email Dave Stedman and ask him if there's a replacement or a 70 series part that may work for you.

Failing that, you'll have to resort to butchery.

I spliced the new wire in all the way from the drivers side harness to the RF wheel sensor. Just left the old one in place to zip ties the new one.

04895-60060, is available which is for 1995 and later. Not sure of the difference from 1994 and earlier.

I have noticed that 95+ lock the terminals into the housing, while 1994 and earlier years connectors that I have seen don't do that. Perhaps depinning and switching connectors might work.

Update: Repaired the wires but not sure if it worked, ABS light remained on. Tried to test it, but I didn't have anything slippery enough to stop on and see if it worked.

However, in a lucky break, I found an intact harness on a 93 that was being parted out, so I grabbed it for $150. I'll install this weekend and hopefully all will be right again. I think I'll see if there is enough slack to route it higher off the radius arm, to avoid future mishaps.
