AA V8 Bellhousing to FJ60 4-speed?

Trying to combine a pile of parts into a FJ40. I have an old Advanced Adapter bellhousing and a transmission out of a 85 FJ60. I was under the impression that they should work together, but the cutout in the bellhousing doesn't exactly match the front bearing retainer. There are two nibs on the trans that don't have notches to fit in.

Do I need to buy something else? of fix it with a file?

Contact AA and give them your part number for your tranny. They will probably confirm that you need to clearance the housing.

Flipper, my guess is you can modify the bellhousing as needed because machine alignment is established at the two dowl pins (one missing in your photos). Just make sure dowl pins are a tight accurate fit.
