Alright well....WTF is where I'm at right now.
I spent the last 9 months waiting to get my 1hd-t & A442f rebuilt. I picked it up yesterday and the transmission is acting all sorts of weird.
When the transmission is cold between
35-45 mph and about 65-70 mph the trans is shifting up and down in & out of lockup. Once everything warms up things start to smooth out. Every so often it will start freaking out again.
I've got about a 5 hour drive to make with this thing tomorrow and at this point praying it holds up for us to get home and I can start fixing this new issue on the new build. Here is a video of the ****erey... Transmission freak out

Why not bring this up to the shop you paid money to rebuild your engine and trans?

What was rebuilt?

Hi, first thought was TPS (Throttle position sensor) on top of the injection pump, faulty or worn out.
TPS sends signal to gearbox ECU, if the carbon track is worn out internally, signal becomes intermittent.
Then having watched your video,:
1. No oil pressure showing on gauge ?
2. I think the Green Turbo light should stay on continuous, not flicker like yours on anything above 1500rpm
3. Your Red Turbo Fault warning light is also flickering on
You possibly have electrical issues elsewhere also.

I have oil pressure, had an issue with my gauge and I haven't reset it yet.
I have a g turbo and it boosting about 15psi so the factory system is "warning" me.
My thoughts are the TPS as well, I ordered one last night supposed to be here Thursday

He rebuilt everything on the motor.
I had a shop in California rebuild the transmission. Mechanic knows about the shifting issues prolly doesn't want to diagnose the trans problems because he left that up to me to arrange the rebuild on.
It doesn't always do it like when you turn the O/D off it stays pretty steady.
Currently the truck has a leaky #1 injector so he is going to be fixing that. As well I told him a TPS was ordered and asked him to install it for me.

Alright so finally got the new TPS after a bit of hassle with DHL. The mechanic told me he wasn't able to replace the TPS because he would have to take the intake manifold off. I told him I'll do it myself.
I got the old TPS out and the new one in w/out taking the manifold off. I set the TPS to 0.85v and hallelujah this thing shifts like it should. Case closed, on to the next adventure!
