Hi Everyone,

It has been brought to my attention that an oil slick was observed on Chehalis lake the weekend of Cruiser Days.

Now, a small oil leak can leave a large slick, and I have no other details specifically where, or why. But a litre of oil can contaminate 1,000,000 litres of water, so it's serious business.

So, on behalf of your local resident fish, please remember to inspect your vehicle before venturing off-road and repair any leaks.

Thanks very much!

I didn't swim but I did hear that too. There was a small boat fishing out there too so could have been from that as well, or even from the new logging upstream, hard to know, but good advice nonetheless.
