Hard to get good pics. Crappy weather today. The tire does not stick out past the body.that's a bad angle .you can see all lights clearly. Overall really tight and clean.

It's still not done. But you get the general idea. Now I have to add some gussets, stops and pistons, lighting and equipment mounts.
I'm excited with it and the next one i build will be even better! as I've changed some cut profiles. For aesthetic reasons.

It looks awesome with the tire off too which is mostly how I'll probably drive around town.and with the tire off the whole thing only protrudes from the tailgate 5.75".

The swing-out looks great and I love the idea of tucking the Rotopax behind the tire.
But, one question. Is there a way to lock the swing-out or the Rotopax so that some jerk doesn't walk off with them? Did I miss the padlock somewhere?
Really like all the well thought out ideas.

Rotopax sells a locking mount as well. I have those. But use the standard for mockup. Mine will be locked when finished and thanks!

Just made new adjustable mounts for the carrier. Gotta swap these on tomorrow . 2-1/2" of adjustment to account for different backspacing.

This is what was there.
Your attention to detail is beyond commendable! When I ha e more time and my leg heals, I can't wait to build things like this bumper, and my drawer/kitchen/bar system. I have all the tools I need except a press brake and a CNC table. I make by with what I have, but your cleanliness makes me want to buy the tools even more. Keep up the amazing work!

Thanks for the kind words! Much appreciated. I could use a press brake myself! And up till 6 months ago I cut everything by hand with plasma. As far as cleanliness Im very particular with my welding prep and setup as well as bead layout and schedule. You get out what you put in...Cheers to a speedy recovery for you and getting back at it.
