Installed some Morimoto ModPod switchback LED pods in the fog lamp housings, wired up as a DRL/turn signal.

This was just a fun experiment, so I feared screwing up and ruining the original housings. I picked up aftermarket fog lamp housings off eBay for less than $20 after coupon, including an OEM-style switch. I drilled a hole in the rear of the housings and mounted the pods with epoxy putty. Everything is sealed with silicone to prevent moisture entry. Bumper removal is required for installation.

These aftermarket housings lack the little reflector cover that goes over the fog bulb. It seems only US market housings have those, and I'm not sure why there's a difference. I replaced the original halogen fogs with some amber LEDs of modest brightness.

The LED DRL pods are wired to come on with the ignition. When the headlights are turned on, the DRLs turn off. When the turn signals or hazards flash, the pods flash amber. It's a really nice effect when paired with the SmartTap flasher relay and LED turn signal bulbs. I have the original high-beam-based DRLS turned off via the Nav display.

Anyway to isolate the fogs to run separately of the headlamps?

I’d love to be able to run fogs only.

The fog lamp relay only gets power when the headlamps are on low beam. The trick is to provide an alternate source of power to that relay, so you can turn on the fogs without the low beams.

The hardest part of this would be figuring out where the fog lamp relay is, and then accessing it. The following is a write up for a 2006 Tacoma, just to illustrate the concept:
Fog Light Mod - on when you WANT them to be on, not just with the low beam headlights - Page 2 - YotaTech Forums

However, our fog relay is NOT located in the engine compartment fuse box like on the Tacoma, according to the diagram below:

Here's a video where a Camry owner intercepted the wires as they entered the fog switch by the steering wheel, but you'd need to study the electrical wiring diagram (EWD) for your model year to know which wire to cut. Good luck with that!

Or you could just give the fogs their own circuit with an OEM-style switch, a couple female pigtail plugs to match your OE fog lights, and a wiring harness similar to this:
