Believe this BJ73 is original with R12 air conditioning a/c fittings. Can't find in the FSM clear direction on which port is High and Low - wanted to confirm before pushing new refrigerant into the wrong port.

I do plan to convert to R134, pull a vacuum and then recharge. Reviewing if I'll renew the dryer as well.

Seen in the photos is the front [towards grille] port, there is a mirrored one pointing out the back from the compressor. Thanks in advance for insight.

The high side is the pipe that goes to the condenser radiator at the front behind the grill. In your case that's probably the smaller diameter pipe, but trace it to the condenser too be sure.
That would mean the visible port on the first pic is your low side.
good luck
Best replace the rec/drier. Get one with a sight glass, and don't forget to add a bit of pag oil to replace the amount left in the old drier.
Edit, if the system had r12, it's probably better to use POE oil . to replace the amount left in the old drier. [Its not much, only about 10ml]
