Build a 1995/96 Omani Model 75 Troopy - kinda getting going on it finally

It may all be a bit lame but I am using shackle bushings as spacers because they are about the right size and provide some give, and I can compress them a bit to get them to level the seat.

I'm using M8 countersunk bolts coming up from the bottom (the bar that the slider screws to. I also chose to thread the slider mounting points so the bolds don't have to protrude very much. I will use loctite red on them.

To make sure that the bushings stay centered I shoved a couple of M10 nuts which barely go into the rubber. This keeps the M8 blot nicely centered. I was also able to find concentric washers if I need to make the adapters any taller.

I chose to offset the adapters 45mm instead of 35 given the relative range of motion of the non-locking sliders. I won't really know if I got this right until I get the seats back from the upholstery shop.

I have not quite decided which way to mount the bushings (large diameter end either at top or bottom, but I am leaning towards the big end on top with the washers at the bottom.

The last thing I did today at the garage was to clean off the four strips of metal, prime and paint them. I will put things together tomorrow.

Yes I ment the stampings or legs. On driver side I went easy way and decided to use the whole bottom part in new seat as it just needs acid bath and powder coating.

On codriver side I wanted to replace the bench seat with single seat. The inner stampings were right but outer ones not. So I took the leg from bench seat but it was too low etc so tried to extend it. Well I was not happy with result so have to find correct leg from somewhere...

Speaking of seats...

I went up and picked up the seats for Speedy and the Troopy.

The 105 held them all.
