Christo, so the grease needs to go up along side the axle right? I agree it would be tough/impossible to do by hand/stick, etc...

You can pull the axle away from the backing plate a little (inside) and pump grease in until you see a little come out the seal on the inside.

I know its been a while since this thread, but I have a weird thing going on, I have the usual slight vibration at 70+ MPH but then I have 2 passenger in the back seats the vibration gets worst, could this still be related ot the CVs (which are due for new boots and or possibly replacing) btw truck has 87K and 4 new OEM shocks...

Well, I have repalced the rims with newer OEM rims, thinking the original ones might have been bent, the new ones have been balanced 4 times int the last 4 months, 3 times by NTB, once at the dealer after new front brakes. Before I changed the rims I had the same issue, but worst. I've also rotated and the same shimmy. Tires are LTX MS 275s with less than 8K on them, Dealer did new rotors and packed the bearings last month (after that was done it got real smooth for a while) now it's back to shimmy after about 65-68mph. The only thing that hast been done is are the CVs, whch the dealer said would need to have new boots, or possibly be replaced if too much grease was lost . I bought the truck with 83 K in Feb...so boot rips came with her...
