I purchased this kit prior to pulling my starter, with the expectation that the existing starter would be an OEM Toyota/Denso that I could rebuild instead of spending $130 on a new starter. However, after pulling the intake off, much to my surprise the existing starter was an Autozone junker that the previous owner installed. Consequently, I could not use the OEM rebuild kit that I purchased and had to buy a new Denso starter instead...Thus, my loss is your gain.

This kit is specific to UZJ100s manufactured during 01/1998-03/2000, all of which a Denso 280-0233 (Toyota #28100-50070) starter is spec'd for. The kit includes the following NEW, NEVER USED Genuine Toyota parts for rebuilding the entire magnetic switch assembly (see diagram below):
28175-54380 - Gasket for the end cover
28235-54380 - Plunger
28226-72010 - Terminal C contact kit (includes new insulator, contact plate, terminal bolt, terminal nut, wave washer, terminal insulator, and o-ring)
28226-54412 - Terminal 30 contact kit (includes new insulator, contact plate, terminal bolt, terminal nut, wave washer, terminal insulator, packing, and o-ring).
