Hey guys, anyone know how to remove the moon roof/dome light switch assembly? I have taken out the Philips screw and I assume there are clips holding the plastic housing on to the roof but I don't know where they are and I didn't want to start pulling on it and potentially break something. Can y'all fill me in on next steps?

Thanks

This? I am only see the two screws....the top two in the photo below.

yes thats the part. I saw that picture on ebay but I don't see for certain where I need to pull. its on there tight and I don't want to break it. The 2 screws you see on either side below the bolts with the white grommets are not visible from the other side. I'm thinking its the white grommets that hold the switch onto the roof but I don't know for certain. I'm looking for confirmation

That is my picture, but I suppose someone could have taken nearly the same picture. 😏

I don't recall any issues removing mine.
did you just pull it straight down? where are the connection points?

This is the FSM. It does say to remove the two smaller screws for the light assembly as well.

ok, but you cant see the two screws, they are covered by the plastic housing that contains the switches and the dome light. Do I need to pull that housing off first I wonder? kinda looks like it if I read the instructions correctly. Damn that cover is on tight!!

OK, yes you have to pop off the switch cover first (the personal light cover). Its on tight but you can pry it off with a screw driver without breaking it.

The light cover has to come off first to access the main screws. It is held in by one screw. The light cover should just pop out but you might need to spread it a bit as you can see the light assembly has clips to help hold it, as seen in the photo below.

In this photo, remove two bottom screws to remove the light assembly, and then the two top screws will let you drop the housing.
