First Post on this forum so forgive me,
Hello all Im a semi recent purchaser of a 97 lx450. She's been great to me outside of one problem that started around 2 months ago which is an odd clunking sound originating from the front passenger side. Specifically when suspension is under load in initial acceleration, cornering to the right side, or occasionally after a bump or so. The sound does not happen all the time but Id say about 25% it occurs and 75% it doesn't. I've taken it to two shops, one said they had no clue but my wheel bearing was lose, so I said why not and went ahead and did a full birf joint rebuild which was an experience as a new comer. Second shop I took it to was Garage Fellas in Wilmington NC, Shout out to the owner Luis, amazing guy, very knowledgeable and spent about an hour driving and talking with me about the little things these old vehicles require. He said mechanically it seems in order , no rubbing from the way bar link , gave me recs on things I could clean up but we couldn't isolate the sound/problem. Had them do a diff service just to ensure it wasn't originating from there and went on my way. Was wondering/ hoping anyone had ran into this problem before and could give me a recommendation.
Heres a link of what its sounding like.
Slighly hard to hear but a low growling sound.
Thanks All
