Maybe I'm completely wrong, but I would be hesitant to pay $8500 for something with a blown head gasket -- but I would consider $10K for that truck with a new head gasket. Just something to think about. GLWS.

I totally understand your hesitation! Everyone is different though so what you're worried about may be seen as an opportunity for someone else. I may just end up keeping it and replacing the head gasket myself.

Forgot to mention, in this thread but it has factory lockers.

If it were me and I wanted top dollar I would fix the head gasket and post lots of pictures.

Gas prices being what they are and going higher, it leaves screaming deals or the premium buyer. Right now this does not fit either.

How do I know that there isn't anything else wrong with this? 8500 with a blown HG and 200 plus miles. 5500, 6K max IIIIIIFFFF!

It's a calculated risk, like buying any used car. You could part this rig and get more than $6k.

On the plus side, the engine never overheated and has water; it still runs but has a rough idle.

I might tear into this weekend, which means I'd end up keeping it.
