$500 firm. All or nothing. Absolutely no shipping. Please don't ask. Motor is in Half Moon Bay, CA (Bay Area, just south of San Francisco)
Selling my '94 4.3 out of a Chevy C-1500 truck, which I have installed in my FJ40. The motor is a vin z model. Motor runs good and strong. You can hear it run since its still installed in the rig.
It comes with:
* the balanced flexplate
* a Willwood pull type clutch slave cylinder (about a year old)
* the computer and chip that came with the motor
* whats left of the stock harness. I began modifying the harness for the motor, then ended up buying one from Howell Engineering instead. I have since cut the harness for other wire needs, but you can have whats left if you want it.
* Power steering pump
* exhaust y pipe connecting the manifolds.
* exhaust manifolds- The passenger side has a crack in it near the #1 cylinder so this needs to be repaired. I cracked it last time I pulled my tranny, when I let the weight of the motor rest on the exhaust by mistake. The motor was on the motor mounts, so the exhaust was balancing the motor on them.
* Advanced Adapters motor mounts that bolt to the motor. I am keeping the part that is welded to my frame.
The motor does not have AC.
I got the motor in '97 with 74k on it. It has around 150k on it now.
The motor has valve covers that say Vortech on them, and came with the motor, so I have always been wondering if this has vortech heads. I think '97 was a transition year for these motors when they moved onto the next generation of injection so its possible (or could be marketing?).
I have taken good care of the motor with regular maintenance, though the Cruiser isnt driven that much anymore.
Other stuff:
New serpentine belt last year.
I put a new alternator on it in '98. Its something like a 140 amp alternator.. Whatever is stock for these motors.
I rebuilt the distributor and tbi in 2000 trying to chase down a problem I had that turned out to be a venting issue with a new gas tank I installed. Live and learn...
thanks-
Dustin
