Scored me a wire harness from a 94 22RE Manual truck that I'm cleaning up as fodder for a (someday) motor upgrade.

Other than grabbing it from the yard, I haven't done anything to this thing, because I want a clear plan of exactly what I'm going to do before hand.

My goal is to make this into a complete unit I will run through my truck for the day of the 22RE upgrade, so everything's there right now, but there are a few things I don't want or need that deserve consideration.

What I want to keep:
-All the EFI gear and sensors
-All the lights (including the third light. I intend to keep that)
-All the gauge inputs
-Signal from Ign. to starter.
-Anything emissions related
-Power to interior fan
-Alternator circuit

What I want to cut out:
-A/C junk
-Interior lights*
-Radio power*
-lighter power*
- Power to Accessories in general

*power for these parts is already accommodated for in an expansion harness that I'm keeping.

Is there anything I'm missing that I should keep?
Is there anything I've listed that I shouldn't bother keeping?

I don't know if you consider these under the EFI system, but you need them...

Cold Start injector time switch
Thermo sensor (for ECU)
Thermo sensor #2 (for the gague)
TPS

A few more on the top of my head.
ignition system
Switches for the transmission (runs off the main harness)
Alternator
I know the fuel injectors were the same from 85-87, 88, 89-95. So you will need fuel injectors from an 89+ truck.

I would also not do any "repinning" until you actually do the job.

Ooh, yeah, I forgot about the CSI system. Hopefully that's still in the bunch.

What transmission switches? You mean like the backup light switch, or is there some emissions-related switch that tells the computer what gear it's in, like on the late 2F/3F?
I'm keeping my L52, which I don't think accommodates anything but the backup switch. I could breadboard something together, though...

Cut first, ask questions later!

Really though, I would wait until you actually get the 22RE before you start cutting. Inevitably, you will remove something you needed.

There's only two switches coming off the main harness for the transmission:

4x4 indicator light (Assuming you have one)
Reverse light switch

I yanked this off a 22RE, and carefully bagged and tagged every end. I'm pretty sure it's all cool, but if I need anything in the future, it will still be there waiting for me to wave my soldering iron over it.
I truly appreciate the concern.

That's reassuring, thanks.
