I've familiarized myself and would like to spend time just cruising through at my leisure, but it's just me. !

I welcome your attitude, kinda like it even, just be prepared for the little bit of flaming that comes with it :princess: . Its all in good fun :flipoff2:

Yeah, I can take the flaming... as long as it's understood where I am coming from. No harm because I don't socialize or want to cruise the posts here on a day to day basis, right? Though give me some time and I'll be contributing in no time. I see this place as more of a great tool.

Anyone try one of the rebuild kits for the A442F from "Transmission Part Company" - tpcconverter.com ?

Try a daily dose in the MUD, you might find that you like it.

roncruiser- nevermind the not-so-cheerful welcome. It takes time to come up to speed when you are new to a board and some expect a little much. I agree with your attitude- keep reading up on what you can, but you are new so ask away and there are lots of us who don't mind responding. For those that do, nobody is asking them to read and respond to every post, right?

Also, just curious- why should all price quotes be done via PM? I think it is helpful to all of us when CDan posts "smart shopper" prices on the board publicly, as it educates us all about "smart shopper" vs. list prices and gives us an idea of what good prices are for various parts.

Welcome, roncruiser! :)

Ron,

>> Where can I get a rebuilt tranny? <<

You've asked this question 3 times in this thread. If someone knows they will tell you when they read this thread.

Does this truck with a bad transmission have lockers? If it doesn't you should keep looking if it truly needs a new/rebuilt tranny.

Let him ask 1000 times, what do you care?

Ron,
LKQ is a national used auto parts place. There is one here in utah and the last time I was there you could eat off the floor it was so clean and organized. Might not be that way everywhere though. 801-489-9373 is their local # here.
