My 4runner keeps kicking out of overdrive when the "O/D off" light starts to flash what could be causing this? One more question when starting from a stop doesn't feel like it's down shifting all the way to 1st gear feels like I'm taking off in 2nd gear sometimes

Have you checked what the codes are? If its sending any post 'em here and let us know. You could have a bad tranny solenoid if its an automatic.

No I haven't going to do that tomorrow. I will post if it throws a code or not.

Yes it is. I pulled the dipstick trans fluid doesn't seem burnt and doesn't smell burnt I was thinking a solenoid or switch. But I'm not too familiar with transmissions
Is it an a340h or f? I had the same issue with my truck. It wasn't shifting right and had no power in the lower gears. I had a bad solenoid and it was fun to replace them. If you have a bad one let us know and I can give you some tips how to replace it f you want to do it yourself.

So I have some questions Im kinda just asking everybody that knows Older 4x4 Toyota Pick ups. anyways, Ive replaced my TPS, and my MAS and both of which wont fix the low idle issue when i come to a stop, or when i rev up my engine just sitting in my driveway, or drifting in the snow, it always cuts out at 2000 rpm no matter what, unless I quickly switch to 2nd or 3rd gear. Ive check for vacuum leaks, but I cannot find the problem. HELP
