Have an '89 pickup, 3.0L V6 and auto trans. The truck is in Colorado. No hard core 4-wheeling, just forest service and mining road stuff and is used as a daily driver when I'm out there.

Had 95K on it when I bought it. Had a Toyota dealer do a trans flush/fill after I bought it.

After 25K had the trans serviced again. This time by an indepedent garage. Soon after noticed a little hesitation or hiccup when running at steady hiway speed. Do not notice this when accelerating or when running slow on trails.

First thought it was an engine miss but decided it was trans related. Feels like it starts to make a shift but changes its mind. Results in a hesitation - not a hard jerk but definitely there.

Any thoughts on possible cause?

Thanks

Jim

is there a sport mode button in the truck.

Yes there is. The truck is used in the mountains. I keep the button on the "power" setting.
