My Land Cruiser tail lights have a ground somewhere in the circuit. I have unplugged all the marker lamps and tail lights with no change. I have disconnected the instrument cluster to eliminate the dash lights. The glovebox light is also on this fuse and I’m going to check that today. Has anyone known of other 62,s having this issue and where might I be advised to look ?
have also unplugged the connector behind the rear tub eliminating everything behind that. Any and all help is appreciated

These things are fused by the tail light fuse:
1. Glove box light
2. Cigarette lighter
3. License plate
4. Tail lights

Check that wire that feeds into the tailgate to power the license plate lamp.

Drawing below is for FJ60. 62 is probably similar.

Thanks, I’ll check cigar lighter and glovebox light. All else has been eliminated.
