Hi,
So I finally started the engine swap from my old rusted out 84 bj60 into a nice, rust free, 85 fj body..
I have a whole list of parts for sale.. if it is specific to the gas models then I've probably got it and will sell it.
the truck has about 230,000 miles on it but was meticulously taken care of. The PO was a doctor and this was his baby since new.. There is literally a bible of maintenance reciepts on the truck.. pretty much everything you would expect in a regular maintenance schedule plus a whole bunch more nitpicky stuff..
So.. I've got the 2F motor that was running before I pulled it. I drove it around 300 miles before I tore it apart.. it was running a bit rich and a little rough. I don't know much of anything about gas motors as I am a diesel driver.. I imagine this would be a fantastic rebuild candidate.
There is also the transmission, transfer case, alternator, airconditioning system, emmisions control system, power steering system, carberator, starter motor, etc... etc..
basically if its not going to be used on the diesel drivetrain then its for sale!
I also have a bunch of good parts available from the old bj60 as well.. so let me know what you need.. I will have some axles available eventually too.
