‘83 Power Steering Adjustment?

Hey, just wondering if anyone has any tips on removing lash in power steering box on a 1983 FJ40. I know the manual ones can be adjusted for preload, but not sure if these can. Before I remove heat shield to have a look for signs, can anyone confirm?

I’ve rebuilt steering rack and linkages, so this is all that remains to sort out.

can you post several nice clear , crisp up close detailed photos of your exact 1983 FJ40 power steering Box , the high pressure feed line hose , the return line

and hose set up , and the pump itself too ,,,,,,

based on these pics , i can pull the correct OEM toyota original paper print media publication # that matches what all you got going on here , and the subsequent pages regarding the step by step adjustment procedures you are needing here ...

I’ve tried to capture the set up as required…
It’s a FJ40LV-KC GCC specs. P/N for the box should be 44110-60022, if that helps.

Yes, good spot.

I’ve just rebuilt the steering column and was waiting to sort the steering box before reconnecting it all up.
