83 custom cab 1kz build. (1 Viewer)

Found this 83 custom cab locally, quite rare here in BC.
original frame/motor/tranamision was gone so I found a sas'd 3rd gen xtra cab frame.
Put the cab on the new running gear.
Had to move a few mounts around and the front mounts needed to be moved back just a couple inches.
Found a hilux surf getting parted out so I picked it up and took the motor and many other small things to go on the truck.

Havnt had a ton of time but so far it's got the motor/transmission in it.
Got a v6 booster/master cylinder installed. Installed a tilt column from a second gen pickup.
4M40 Mechanical injection pump installed
Also have a elocker to go in eventually.
Hoping to have it moving under its own power by the end of April.
Will add my many other projects soon.

The 1KZ TE is a sweet option. I had a 93 runner with one in for a moment in time but never saw it run. Does this have the mechanical pump or electrical one?

Guess if I read your post I would have caught that you have the mechanical one… sorry about that. Cool build man!!

It came with an electric pump but I put a zexel 4M40 pump from a Delica on it.

What transmissions bolt to the 1KZ? Will the W56 or G52 bolt right up?

I'm using a r150f and had a Manuel 1kz to R series transmission bellhousing sent from New Zealand
