I have this style ac idler bearing (not my pic)

I took the idler bearing apart, except the bearing didn't come out, rust I think, I've got it soaking in kroil ATM, is there a clever way to press it out from the back without just pressing the center race and balls out of the inner race?

Thanks,

Eric-

Not really. You aren't going to be using the bearing again anywho

The fellow who took that photograph above is an excellent photographer if I don't say so myself.

Pound out the old bearing anyway you want. It's being discarded. The new bearing can be tapped in with a hammer and the right sized socket that fits the outer race. Don't hammer on the center race.

Definitely a stunning photographer :)

I got it figured out, thanks!

anyone know why my bearing doesn’t spin when I apply anything more than finger tight to the nut? Could the second to left piece be backwardd? or is this normal?

I was going with 27ft lb. But honestly 3 ft pounds stops the spinning at all.

take it apart and try again, I half remember putting one of the pieces together wrong the first time... only the inner race should be touching the brace/washers, as I remember..

But my memory is pretty falalble, so maybe others will correct me.
