Hey everyone, need some help with my triple locked 80.

We replaced the Centre diff locker to a air locker as the old one was crusty and didnt work for almost 2 years.

We've hooked up the compressor/switches and tested the air locker off the diff and it works great, really strong and works as it should.

Now installed it on the diff and it doesn't want to engage, I know everything else works as it should, dash lights fuses and switches etc. BUT if I take the air locker off I can poke my finger through the small hole and I can turn the cog to disengage and then rotate back to the point its ALMOST engaged dont have enough strength in the finger to engage so carefully using a flathead I can lever it to engage ( alittle difficult ).

Ive tried all day drive in the paddock forwards and backs, zig zags , figure 8s starting with engaged ( manually changing it, time consuming) to already engaged... nothing seems to be working. I know there's a shift fork ( googling ) inside there and wondering if somethings going on there as everything else seems ok?

I can engage rear and front lockers with the old paper clip trick in the CDL plug

Any ideas would be much appreciated 👏

I don't understand what you wrote.

You added an air actuator to the transfer case center diff lock?

Now installed it on the diff and it doesn't want to engage,

What do you mean, on the diff? Do you mean on the t-case?

If so, both the actuator, and the t-case center diff lock must be in the same state: either locked or unlocked. They can't be in opposing states.
