I'm not sure. But, I took my 60 series wheels that were 16 inch and installed them on my 80. It looked normal with no funny backspace issues on either vehicles.

Are looking to buy 15x7 80 series wheels from an early 80? I do know the lug nuts look different...not sure if it's a stud VS conical normal style thing. But I had conical style nuts on my 80 and it never looked right.....

I'm much happy having steel wheels myself. The early styled 80 rims to me are very dated looking for alloys. But the newer 16 inch 80 series alloy have a nice look and can handle quite large tires.

early 80's are the split 4 spoke 15's that were found on the pre 95 4runners & mini's....maybe wider though, but i doubt it. the 5star FZJ80's are 16X8 with 4.5" BS. there are 2 different sets of seats for the lugs. bevelled for a conical style lug, and flat for a shank style lug w/ washer. i think they changed in 95+. ive got both kind on my truck, and my oem lugs work on em both.

I'm looking at a set that has winter tires already mounted on them for use on my wifes 60. I figured it would just be easier if it were a straight swap. Of course, that would leave me with 6 or seven sets of wheels. :D

yah funny how you can end up with too many sets of wheels...... I got too many now. Need to build a shed just for my tires.....LOL
