Ok, so has anyone heard from Brian? I've sent PM's and emails and it's been silent. I don't want to be an a****** but I'd like to know if I'll actually get the lights I paid for.

Brian, let me know what's up - please.

I met Brian the week the ad was posted to look at the ARB bar. I liked it, wrote him a check and took delivery that day. I think it was the day after the ad was posted.

When we met he talked about some other things that I was interested in - one was a contact for a shop that could powder coat my 80's wheels. They had done his for a great price and he was going to call them and let me know.

Lots of e-mails and PM's later, I haven't heard anything. He certainly doesn't owe me anything here (unlike you guys) but he seemed nice and into cruisers and I expected to hear back.

Have any of you guys called him?

No phone number was given to me. I'd appreciate one if you have it. At this point it looks as if I need to contact my bank and have them contact his!

Just an opinion, but if you initiate a transaction I think you should see it through. We're all busy (I think?).

I don't disagree with your opinion - esp if you have paid as the buyer and the seller has deposited your funds and is now unresponsive.

FWIW, I don't know Brian at all, but from talking to him for about an hour when I bought the bumper, he seemed like a stand up guy. He knows some of the same folks I know in this area and I doubt he'd compromise his integrity for something as small as this.

Don't know why he hasn't responded though. I thought it was just me and he didn't have time to throw a number my way...

Either way, this is a shot in the dark, but I went back through my caller ID from the day of the original post and the day I met him. There is one I don't immediately recognize and SHOULD be him based on the time the calls were received. If you're interested in trying that, PM me and I'll send it to you.

multiple phone calls w/ detailed messages over the past two days with no response...

more emails & pm's with no response...

guess it's time to contact the bank but I really wish there was an easy explanation for why a simple transaction of $50 for a pair of side marker lights from 4 wks ago had to be a problem :(

Does anyone have his real full name? If so, then google him to see if something has happened to him.
I once purchased an item on ebay to never have it shipped. I googled the guys name to try to find a phone number but low-and-behold found two online newpapers showing where he had been arrested. no wonder I never got my item. A filed complaint through paypal returned my money...

I saw something like this happen recently on a gun/hunting related forum that I frequent. New guy posted an ad for a dozen or so guns, got a bunch of money and then just disappeared. The deals were really good (but not so good to make you suspicious) so folks were fighting over the stuff.

I sure hope that didn't happen here (lot less money involved fortunately).

I refuse to distrust everyone right out of the chute. I don't want to live that way. But this kind of stuff really makes you wonder...

Brian contacted me off list and it appears I'll have the lights by Monday. Patience pays, at least most of the time.

crap, logged in on Rick's acct. This is clownmidget!
