;)

You live in a such historical part of France, think I must make some advertise ;)( made some trips in the Provence Avignon,Arles, Nimes, Saintes-Maries de la Mer and so on) *
By the way in the eighties they used open troopies for Camargue safaris. They were rotten through within 4 or 5 years because the salt water and the salty mud they drove through every day had to clean the 43 more than properly to get this salt and mud out of all corners of my truck hard work for the garage guy :D
Cheers

nice rig ,mate..... i hope you find any time to restore it........ is it and "h" or and "b" engine ??

The thread title indicates that the vehicle is an HJ45. The "H" in the model is a good indication that it's got an H series six cylinder diesel under the hood. A BJ45 would usually have a B series engine unless someone has changed the drivetrain at some point in the truck's lifetime.

Rufus is right, engine is an inline six cylinders diesel (H):

I'm looking around for a 12HT & his H55 in order to swap :wrench:

Yes, but it would most likely be cheaper to ship it from France than pay the crazy prices SOR charges for hard to find parts. I shipped a 3B head from Australia to the US and the shipping costs weren't that horrible.

Noticed.
What's matter with your H head???
Turbo causes trouble to it???

Haven't got find 12HT yet but I've got an other H in my garden (not complete engine; missing exhaust & intake manifold and other parts)...

Don't know how shape is the head...

The H diesel is very rare in the U.S. It was used in some fork lifts but never in a production road vehicle sold here. They are plentiful elsewhere in the world but very hard to find parts for in the U.S.

I'd by the injection lines too if you have them.

ouppp'ss i'haven't read this !!! so you're ready to 12ht swap !!!

Not really ready mate;)
The crashed HJ61 owner isn't decided yet to sell it, but I'm very patient;)

Here most of troopies are also 3B motorised (BJ45).
Uncomplete H haven't got his injection lines...

Depending on what happens in the next few months, I might rip the H motor from my 45, not sure what will replace it, anything really.:p

Nothing wrong with my head, yet. Apparently these heads aren't a great design and tend to crack. I added a turbo to my H and would like to have a spare or two. The rocker arms and shafts are also hard to find.

Not hard to find at all, Jay at the shop just built up a turbo 2H and he replaced all the rocker assembly with new parts.

Its really fun to wheel.

Nice rig, do you come across them often?

Rob
