Hi all,
I’m chasing some advice regarding a knock in my 1HDT. I serviced the engine around 2,000 km ago, but the noise has remained and may have slightly increased.
The knock seems to diminish with higher RPM (likely being masked by engine noise) and does not change with the clutch engaged or disengaged.
I was planning an 1,800 km trip but am hesitant to drive it until I can identify the cause. I have big end bearings on order, though I’m starting to suspect it may be more of a top-end issue.
Any insight would be appreciated.
