Did the 105 have the new 5 lug hubs as well? If so, is that a direct bolt on upgrade/replacement on the 80 series? Is the birf the only thing bigger, or the the inner and outer? I was in Australia in Nov. (rented a troopy with a pop up for 2 weeks) and was wondering about upgrading my 80 series axle with the newer hubs and lockouts. I know the rear has the bugger studs on the hubs as well, but unless the shaft lengths are the same that would require a full rear end to swap out.

Correct (43405-60120 non-ABS birfs or early 1993 birfs with ABS rings)

or, machine the longer birfs for a new C-clip groove....

Or, use a spacer on either the hub flange or on the spindle to knuckle housing mating surface (I don't like either of these options).

Which is which relative to your question?
IFS q's go to the Taco forum.

Factory 80 fronts are 27 spline.
Could be wrong but believe factory 80 rears are 30 spline.
May be 27 instead tho.
