Is it the blowers that don't work? And is it both the front and the rear? If it's both, it could be an electrical gremlin. Make sure that both motors are getting current if you haven't done that already. If they are, then I would check your motors and see if they are seized up. Both of mine were dead (well, one was close to dead and kept blowing the fuse over and over again). You can pull the rear motor without disconnecting the coolant line.

The front is a bit more pesky because you have to get the metal housing off the truck to get at the motor underneath. But not a big deal. I took mine apart, cleaned them up, and rebuilt them with motors that I know work. Haven't installed them yet because I don't have my truck back from the paint shop.

agree with Heather.....just rebuilt my underseat unit tonight..you might start by seing if the blades turn freely, then if you are getting current to it; then see if it has a good ground, if no current to it then you might see about hot wiring it to see if the motor turns.........oh make sure there is coolant getting to it:grinpimp:.there is a little hidden shut off valve in the line:o

Thanks for all the help,I tore apart and cleaned boath heater's only to find that they are ok and my self being new to the 55 world, I realized that my bigest problem was an incorrect fuse. I had a 20 amp instead of the 15 amp it called for also resodered broken wires on the wiper moter. much to my joy the all the non working gages on the dash are now working like a charm.

Beginners luck i Guess.

Thanks again for the help.

Yeah, that fuse seems to be gauges and heater motor. Mine keeps blowing so I rebuilt the heaters and am hoping that fixes it. One of the motors was jammed up and the other only ran when it felt like it.
