So Den Mom Deb and I are coming home from Cancun last night.

Leave Cancun 3:15PM temperature 89 degrees

We get to Houston and land with the snow falling.

Get to the gate for the connecting 7:30pm flight @ 7.
Gate change and get ON THE PLANE @ 7:55PM.

Back away from the gate @ 8:15PM wait for the de-icing

9:15PM waiting on the de-icing...

10:15PM open up the bar cart for free while waiting on de-icing...

12:15AM bar cart empty #20 for de-icing

12:45AM go all the way around the airport to get in a PRIORITY line for deicing..

1:30AM De-iced

1:35AM Wheels up

2:30AM touchdown Jackson temperture 39 degrees

3:33AM arrive home

4:15AM head hits pillow

6:15AM alarm starts going off (you gotta be f'in kidding me)
 
Quit whining and be glad ya weren't routed thru Atlanta - we'd be reading your post from the airport bemoaning that all the rental cars were snatched up - send someone to pick us up....


OK, it does still suck - just wanted to cheer up your perspective a bit

I just got back from Nashville. I was supposed to leave around noon today but we had to wait on till 3pm for the de-icing of my employers very steep, long and winding driveway. They didn't want me to drive their heavily loaded Super Duty down that which a volvo s 30 couldn't climb.
