1979 Toyota Landcruiser FJ55~Fully restored~91,000 miles~must see this

Anyone know about this restoration? I am going to be in San Diego for a month and I am shopping for a new truck for DD duty. It sounds crazy, but I am thinking about shipping this back to SC and driving it to work everyday.

I figured it was restored, has discs, PS, and air. Plus I have been working on 40's for over 5 years so I know alot about the mechanics of the vehicle. Any info would be great, as it seems like a lot of money to spend on something if it wasn't done just right.

Thanks, and all comments welcome.

Same guy, haven't spoken to him yet. I'll see how he acts with buying a restored car vs. $500 worth of parts.

Oh, and if I bought the pig, the parts would be comming back to Columbia in the back.:D

Well if they ever had to be replaced I could always weld in some sheetmetal and put some round truckker LED's on the back.:meh:

Just kidding!:lol::lol::lol:

To me, the only issue is the fact it IS a 79. That means the funky tail lights with no repro parts unlike the earlier square style:meh:

Ummm

wrong, those lights are still around

also, "79 means front discs, factory power steering (if it hasn't been canabilized) probably A/C, etc

Also, IINM, less than 3000 pigs came into the States in '79

now you know why I kick myself in the ass for parting the one I had

Jeremy

If you do buy this pig would you be wiling to sell those parts? I know you won't need them :D plus I could really use all the rubber!

Where are repro(or original) available?

Gaskets also?

Last time I looked ( a while ago) MAF had them in their "Bargain Bin", or whatever they call it

I think Mark has some, as well
