Anyone have one or know where I can get a clean frame, cab and bed? I just bought a diamond in the rough from a guy last night. It is a 1979 toyota pickup SR5 4x4. It was #993 out of the first 1000 imported from Japan. I bought it from the original owner and it came with the window sticker from back in 79. The price tag was $7,392, but he told me that when the truck arrived the sales manager increased it another $1000 because they were moving so fast. The interior is in mint condition with the exception of the bench seat which is ripped and the dash which has a couple of cracks. The carpet, door panels etc. are all in great shape. It runs like a champ, but was in an accident in October of 2006 though that is the least of the trucks problems. Rust has consumed it. The frame is totally shot and the cab is pretty bad as well. I'd like to get a clean cab/bed and frame, and start from there. The running gear is perfect on the truck. It only has 97,000 original miles.
