I recently acquired this 78' FJ40..:grinpimp: I will be parting it out.

There is a few things that I need for my project, hardtop, tunnel cover with boots, third members, rearview mirror, and a set of windshield hooks.

If there is anything that you guys need let me know and I will PM you back starting on saturday with what is salvagable. It looked to have one complete right side jump seat and a tire carrier inside the cab. The dash was very complete including the dash pads.

I am in Myrtle Beach, SC so some stuff can be shipped, but some may have to be picked up.

Hey Jeremy, I would be interested in the dash pads considering they are in good shape. I may also be am interested in the hard top. I have a lot of rust on mine. Would like to compare and see if it would be worth it for me to purchase that one and toss mine. I'm in Atlanta so a day trip to Myrtle Beach is right up my alley. Thanks, Jibber
 
I need an exhaust flange, connection from the manifold to the exhaust pipe.

I'm also looking for a set of asian hubs, NOT warn! good transfer shifter boot (I really want a good rubber bottom. opps your needing that too huh?

How is the sheet metal?
 
Kief, I think I may be using the windshield frame since it has the glass in it and will work better with the hardtop when it goes on my 71'.

VehiculousFJ, I do not recall seeing any lights on it at all. No headlights turn signals or brakes. I beleive they were stripped about 10 years ago. The guy that I am getting it from used it as a parts truck 10 years ago. Also no fenders, they are pretty bad. No seats, and I will check on the speedo and battery tray when I get it.

F--junker, No aisin hubs, they looked to be warn. I will look into the exhaust flange. I am keeping the boots, and the only good metal looked to be in the front cowl and dash. Once I pull the gas tank there may be a good floor under it, but highly unlikely. There may be a piece around the gas filler and door that is good and maybe the side aprons on top of the fenders. The back crossmember under the doors was gone but a portion of the bed may be salvagable. Once I get some of the parts out of it I might see if someone wants to pick up the whole tub.

I have two full time jobs and I will be pulling stuff off a little at a time. So if anyone is in a really big hurry for anything, they may want to make offers on stuff elsewhere that is ready to ship out. I would assume parting this thing out will take a lot of my time, but if I know what everyone wants I can spend all weekend taking everything off and then let my wife ship it out during the week. So I guess I am just letting everyone know ahead of time to please be patient once I get this thing home. I am always on mud lurking so I should not have any problem getting any messages.:)
 
Anybody need anything from the dash of 78'? It has everything on it and looks to be in pretty good shape. Ashtray, glove box, all knobs and switches, cigarette lighter.

What color and condition is the passengers jump seat in and how much are you asking for it? Thanks

I know these items would look better if I pulled them and cleaned them.

I am trying to see what the demand is for these parts and I will take off what everyone is asking for and clean it and post fresh pics.

Pm'd you about the Radio. Also wondering about sheet metal from the bed, Windshield w/Frame if it's not rusty, the rear reflectors and the metel buckets that protect the tail tight assembly inside the bumper. Thanks
