I am working on my neighbors 78 FJ and was told to install the new intake and exhaust manifold. After doing so I was instructed to figure out why it wasnt starting. I intsalled a new fuel pump, but realized the fuel was getting to the carb but not the engine. The owner ordered a rebuilt carb but it is for a fj without emissions. I currently had the FJ set up with out the egr, air manifold and some other emissions equipment. Is there anyway I can make this carb work. Here is a picture of the carbs next to each other:
And if I can make it work what would I have to do with this sensor?
There is nowhere to put it on the new carb I have
If anyone can help in anyway I would greatly appreciate it. I need to get it out of my driveway and he wants to get it into the body shop. Thanks in advance,
