77 FJ55 weight

I have to trailer a 77 55 back from Boise, Id. to Prescott, AZ. with a 2012 Tacoma and I need to know the weight to see if I need overload springs. It is equipped with a tow package but I want to be safe. Thanks

I reckon mine sits in around the 2300kg mark which is around the 5000 mark and that's standard - without front bar, tow hitch etc.

Just trailered mine home 500 odd miles . Only difficulty was the last 20ml downhill, brakes got a little warm.

FSM states 4010lbs for 4 speed and 3970lbs for 3 speed.

Think the GVWR is 5,500lbs.

Surprising, since my back would swear an F block alone is 1,000lbs. Haha.

4,000 to 5,000. Quite a variation. I better beef up my rear springs
