I Have A 76 Booster That I Took Oof To Clean Up And Reinstall On My Resto Project And I Noticed That When I Push Down On The Pedal Side Input Shaft I Can Hear A Hiss On The Mc Side When The Booster Extends Back Out. I Can Make The Hiss Worse By Wobbleing The Mc Side Shaft. Is My6 Booster Bad Or Is There A Different Way To Test It Out Of The Vehical? I Dont Know If It Is Bad Because That Side Seals Against The Mc, But I Think Im Just Being Hopefull. If It Is Bad I Heard I Could Get A Mini Truck Or Even A Celica Booster For It And It Would Work Fine. What Year Mini Truck Or Celica. I Know That The 76 Is The Expensive One To Rebuild. The Part # Is Master Vac 285186.419240. Any Help Would Be Appreciated.

Yours is bad. Do a search using my user name and brake booster. I was able to get it rebuilt and it works great. Not cheap tho...

Try the vacuum gauge with the brake pedal activated through it's range in case the booster's diaphram leaks more when flexed under pedal pressure.
