Currently posted on E-bay at $250 and located in WPB Florida.
This is a spare case I've carried on the trailer for 5 years. It's an original 74 transition case - meaning it's the later 4-speed case which is better webbed, cast and material, but set up for the older 2.31 gear sets. This case is currently partially disassembled but complete sans the parking brake assembly. Includes both the 16 spline and 10 spline input gears - my understanding is the 16 spline input is worth something. Also have the 10 spline PTO gear.
I posted this to E-bay as there don't seem to be a whole lot of folk on this board into rebuilding t-cases and what not - but had second thoughts that I should at least post a notice.
In summary - if you're looking to run just a tad lower gearing in that stock 75 to 79 FJ40 - this is a simple bolt up conversion.
I really need a few 4.88 chunks or even just high quality ring and pinions - if anyones interested in a trade.
