Wanted 73 thru 78 fj40 seat hinge (ON the side of seat)

I am looking for a set of hinges for one seat (the part of the seat that holds the back to the bottom of seat), any seat hinge from a 73 though 78 will work.. if you have a old seat laying around... PM me with what you have and how much you want..

You might want ot post up a picture of the other seat. I was going to switch a couple of my seat between vehicles and found that the 73 hinges are not the same as a 76. I was able to switch them but they folded down funny and wouldn't latch. I always thought they were the same until I tried this a couple of weeks ago. I also have a 68 that has 74 seats installed, next time I get to where it's stored I'll check to see which year they match.

Thanx for the heads up on that John.. did the 73's have head rests on them? I am working with a 78 seat... I just assumed that the seats using the same mounting assy. would use the same hinge in the middle..

The 73 twin bucket seat in the 73 did have head rests, they will interchange with the later style but are a little different in design. I found out about the different in the seat themselfs when I tried to install some 76 that were missing a few parts in my 73. The parts I used off the 73 wouldn't fit right.

The frame in the picture does not look like the 73-78 seats. It looks like a 71/72 drivers seat.
