70 Series

I have owned 40s and 100s. I am looking for a 70 in Northern Europe and had a few questions: I do not know nuch about these so any info would help. I want a solid front axle, Deisel, Manual Trans. (AC if you can get it)
1 - what are the best years
2 - how hard to register in states
3 - How many differant models did they make and how recent did they make them.

I would do a search under importation or importing. There are several very long threads.
So far the consensus is that you cannot import a 70 into America easily/legally.
Some have done it and claim it to be legal.

As for models they have filled in every number from 70-79 series
They are all good but if you have a turbo 6 diesel with coil springs on the front then you have the best.
They are all solid axle and share more or less the same chassis
