I am looking at converting a set of 3rd Gen 4Runner elockers to cable lockers to install in my LN106 hilux. There are at least two ways to do this on the diff side, one with the chilkat designs actuator($$) and one by modifying the stock actuator with a weld on disc. I am wondering if it is possible to adapt 70 series cable locker controls to this application to keep the interior factory Toyota. For example, I am looking at the locker controls out of a bj74 wondering if I could make them work (see photo), which appear may still be available new for 150ish CAD.

I am wondering:

Are there any other styles of dash mount cable locker controls in the 70s?
How much cable throw does each style of cable locker control have?

Thanks!

The bracketry, cables, and other misc parts from both automatic and some manual shift Toyota cars are a great basis to convert elockers to cable actuation. I see no reason the BJ7x control levers can't be put into use here.
