69 fender mounted turn signals

I'm looking for a set of 68-70 fender mounted turn signals. These are the type with the seat sitting on the fender vs the earlier style coming out the side. FJ55 versions are discontinued, but FJ40 models are similar although with a different seat.

Has anyone used FJ40 turn signals on their 55? What are the "gotchas" I need to watch out for?

you can grind down 40 bases to work
